Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty @ the MET...NYC

I finally had the chance to check out Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty at The Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In a word: extraordinary! A must-see if you are in New York City. The brilliantly curated exhibit celebrates the late designer's work with over 100 ensembles (to see them up close and personal is truly amazing), 70 accessories, short films and highlights from his famously theatrical runway shows. The exhibit runs until July 31st. This is one you don't want to miss! (And p.s., if you can, buy the book. It's $45 and worth every single penny.)

Springtime in Paris

I just returned home from a wonderful trip to Paris. The city is absolutely stunning this time of year (we lucked out with perfect 76 degree and sunny weather). There are so many things about the city that I love, one of them in particular, the breathtaking flowers.

Strolling on Rue de Rivoli, we stumbled upon a bustling outdoor market in Le Marais. I've never seen calla lillies quite like these.

Peonies and hydrangeas are my two favorite flowers. In Paris, they are enormous and everywhere!
